In product families, many processes stay the same while contact points with the workpiece change. A format part provides exactly this connection. Shared mounting and clearly identified inserts help organise variants into an understandable changeover process. Design therefore starts with the existing base holder and the differences between products.
Interchangeable inserts for product families
Several contoured inserts share the same base and accommodate different component variants. Locating features and labels support correct identification during changeover.
Product-specific guides
Side guides and stops are matched to a new product's outer contour. Access for adjustment, cleaning and fastening can be considered at the same time.
Format nests for transfer stations
A holder presents the workpiece in its intended position. Cut-outs leave room for gripping; separate contact inserts can accommodate delicate surfaces.

We consider insertion and fastening alongside operation. A simple assembled unit can include plastic bodies, locating pins, threaded inserts and TPU pads. Existing CAD data is adapted for further variants; simple new formats follow clear dimensions and base-holder specifications.

FDM suits different format inserts and larger guide geometries. Resin complements it for small, finely detailed changeover parts. For repeat orders, we clearly agree on the data version, variant name and respective supply scope.
