The right contact parts for gripping, placing and positioning.
FORMACT manufactures custom gripper jaws, gripper inserts and workpiece holders for your automation. Combined with sensor mounts, camera brackets and lightweight EOAT components, they create suitable interfaces between existing equipment and the workpiece.
Made to suit your task. With CAD data or a description of your requirements.

Consider the workpiece contour all the way to handover.
An automated movement needs the right geometry at its contact points. The workpiece must be picked up, supported at the drop-off point and accessible for the next step. We tailor jaws, inserts and holders to these specific transitions. Mounting, gripping space and cable connections are as much part of the task as the visible contour.
Contoured gripper jaws
Custom jaws connect the mounting interface on the existing gripper to the required contact surfaces. Cut-outs provide clearance for surrounding contours and the planned movement path.
Grippers & workpiece holdingFlexible contact inserts
Separate TPU pads complement rigid jaws or holders at selected points. Geometry and mounting are designed for the contact and intended replacement process.
Flexible functional partsWorkpiece nests at the station
Loading and placement holders align parts for picking or transfer. Gripping areas and finger recesses remain clear and are tailored to the workflow.
Production aids & fixturesChangeover parts for further products
Product-specific nests or contact inserts can share a common base. Markings and locating features help identify the correct parts during format changes.
Format & changeover partsSensor and camera mounts
Custom brackets position sensors on existing mounting points. Viewing direction, cable routing and accessibility follow the intended inspection or detection task.
Retrofits & adapter partsCustom components for your gripping and handling task.
We supply jaws, inserts and simple holding assemblies with suitable fasteners. Workpiece mass, gripping force and movement determine the requirements. We prepare existing CAD data and design simple holders and brackets to clear specifications.
- Contact contour and interface to the existing gripper
- Gripping and placement positions in the intended sequence
- Rigid carriers with interchangeable flexible inserts
Helping your processes work together.
Shape the contact with your product
Contact surfaces and clearances follow the workpiece. Interchangeable inserts can accommodate different contours.
Allow for movement
The component geometry is considered alongside the handover position and surrounding components. Mounting points and cable connections have the space they need.
Complement existing equipment
Jaws, holders and brackets are matched to your existing interfaces. The custom plastic components can be clearly specified and requested.
Materials for handling and workpiece contact.
Carriers, jaws and flexible pads may each have different material requirements. Selection is matched to the specific loads.

Function determines the manufacturing process.
FDM enables contoured jaws, workpiece nests and TPU inserts. Resin complements it for small, finely structured components. Part orientation and assembly are planned around the specified loads.
