Fixtures that prepare the next step.
A part sits correctly, the screw point stays accessible and the assembly orientation is clear. FORMACT manufactures custom assembly, loading and positioning aids for your workplace, including simple assembled fixtures on request.
Made to suit your task. With CAD data or a description of your requirements.

From a repetitive task to the right holder.
When workpieces need realigning for each joining, fitting or fastening operation, a holder with clear stops can help. Its geometry follows the part and actual workflow. Finger recesses, tool clearances and accessible removal points are considered together. The result is an aid that supports the task and can be mounted at the existing workstation.
Assembly holder with tool access
A contoured base holder keeps a housing component in its intended position. Cut-outs leave screw points clear; locating pins and threaded inserts can form part of the assembled unit.
Loading aid with a clear orientation
An asymmetrical holder uses the workpiece shape to define its installation direction. This simple mistake-proofing principle can support the correct match between part and workstation.
Workpiece carrier for the next step
Product-specific nests and finger recesses organise several parts on a carrier. Interchangeable inserts allow adaptation if individual component contours change later.
What the right geometry changes.
Define positions clearly
Contact surfaces and stops make the correct loading position visible and tangible. The workflow gains a fixed geometric reference.
Consider the hands-on work
Clear tool paths, finger space and suitable mounting connect the part geometry to the work at the station.
Develop specific areas further
An insert, stop or contact piece can be designed as a separate part. Changes can then be limited to the affected area.
An individual part or a simple assembled fixture.
Alongside printed base bodies, we supply straightforward assemblies with suitable bought-in parts. The quotation specifies which elements are supplied assembled. Part dimensions, the desired loading position and a description of the task are often enough for an initial design.
- Base body with stops and locating pins
- Threaded inserts, screws and simple guide elements
- Interchangeable TPU pads for contact surfaces
Materials for base bodies and contact points.
A rigid base body positions the workpiece; a flexible pad shapes the contact. We select materials to suit each task and its loads.

Manufacturing to suit the geometry.
FDM suits custom-shaped holders and larger fixture bodies. Resin is an option for small, finely structured inserts. We consider installation orientation, load direction and the assembly of additional elements in the specification.
Which task should your fixture support?
Send CAD data or describe the workflow using sketches and photos. We can design simple holders to clear specifications; more extensive tasks are coordinated with specialist CAD partners.
Enquire about your custom partGeometry, function and specification follow your task. A description is enough for an initial enquiry; you can add any existing files.
