Tough Resin
Tough Resin brings resilience to small, detailed functional parts. It suits prototypes intended for more than visual inspection: assembly, gripping, installation and exploring movement. This allows robust control and assembly concepts to be tested early.

Typical applications
Robust assembly prototypes, protective housings, clips and brackets with flexible sections. Tough Resin is particularly useful when a detailed part needs to flex during insertion, handling or compression.
Why Tough Resin?
High elongation supports impact-tolerant shapes and flexible functional sections. Wall thickness and geometry allow behaviour to be tailored: thin areas yield more easily, while thicker sections feel more stable.

Ideas for your application
Device development, protective and control components, model making, and assembly and handling trials.
Surface and appearance
A detailed, consistent surface. Thin and solid sections deliberately differ in their compliance.
Designing your part to fit
Design flexible areas with generous radii and avoid abrupt changes in cross-section. For clips, lead-in angle, travel and holding force all matter. Testing a sample helps identify the right wall thickness.
Finishing and post-processing
Cleanly finished contact surfaces and smoothed support marks help moving parts function.
