Test an idea in its actual installation position.
From initial form models to functional variants and small runs: FORMACT manufactures plastic parts that let you assess and develop geometry, fit and handling in practice.
Made to suit your task. With CAD data or a description of your requirements.

The next sample needs a clear question.
Does the connection fit? Is there enough room for a hand? Can the housing be assembled in this order? A prototype is particularly helpful when its assessment objective is clear. We tailor specification and material to that purpose. Each sample gains a specific role in development and a clear basis for the next change.
Fit-check models for connections and installation space
A geometry is placed in existing equipment or at a workstation to assess spacing and accessibility. Marked variants can make different contours directly comparable.
Functional sample of a simple assembly
Printed parts are assembled with screws, threaded inserts or simple guides. This allows the assembly sequence, movement space and intended handling to be assessed on the sample.
Small run of an agreed part
An approved data version forms the basis for several identical components. Variants, material and supply scope are clearly assigned, for example for equipment builds or several similar workstations.
What the right geometry changes.
Assess geometry in physical form
Loading, gripping and assembly can be explored with the physical part. Development and user feedback gain a shared reference.
Compare variants purposefully
Different contours can be tested against the same task. Differences between samples remain traceable through the data version.
From sample to a defined production run
Agreed geometry and specification create a clear basis for small-quantity manufacturing and later additions.
Support each stage of development appropriately.
We check existing CAD files, adapt simple geometries and optimise them for manufacture. We undertake simple new designs to clear specifications. For more extensive product development, we work with specialist CAD and engineering partners; FORMACT remains your contact and manufacturing partner. Assembled functional samples with a manageable set of bought-in parts are also possible.
- Test question and desired sample maturity
- Clear data versions and variant names
- Agreed specification for samples and subsequent parts
Material to suit the sample's purpose.
A display model, functional sample and part for eventual use may require different materials. Selection follows the respective assessment step.

Use FDM and resin purposefully.
FDM suits technical fit-check models and many functional geometries. Resin enables fine details and nuanced surfaces on small models. The choice follows your test objective, part dimensions and intended use.
What would you like to learn from the next sample?
Describe the development stage, open question and required quantity. Existing files or a dimensioned sketch help us agree on the project. Even an incomplete task description can be a first step.
Enquire about your custom partGeometry, function and specification follow your task. A description is enough for an initial enquiry; you can add any existing files.
